New York developer has Hollywood site under contract from city (Photos)
A Brooklyn-based developer has a site in Hollywood under contract from the city.
The city’s Technical Advisory Committee will consider plans for the 0.84-acre site at 810 S. Dixie Highway, plus 2110 and 2114 Adams St., on Feb. 21. It currently has a storage yard.
In August 2022, the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) agreed to sell the property for $975,000 to Adams Street Residential LLC, managed by Shalom Zagelbaum and Jeffrey Zagelbaum in Brooklyn.
Safeguard proposes $9 million expansion of Hollywood facility
Safeguard Self Storage has proposed a $9 million expansion of its Hollywood facility near the Sheridan Street exit of Interstate 95.
The city’s Technical Advisory Committee will consider plans for the 7.4-acre site at 3090 Sherman St. on Feb. 21. It currently has a 166,322-square-foot self-storage facility that was built in 1999.
In 2015, the property was purchased for $18.83 million by PPF SS 3090 Sheridan Street LLC, an affiliate of Atlanta-based Safeguard.
4 apartments proposed on these Hollywood streets signify city development boom
The development boom in Hollywood has picked up steam, as city officials will soon consider four apartment projects of 40 units or greater.
All four development proposals will go before the city’s Technical Advisory Committee on Feb. 6. They are from separate developers, although three of them tapped the same architect.
